ok this past Thursday, myself & 2 buddy's left a bar @ 1:30 & were walking home to my one buddys house (2 blocks away)

We got stopped by a cop in a paddy wagon, he checked ID's then like 5 cops total showed up (1 by 1 within a 30 min period)

as the 2nd & 3rd cop show up, we find out my buddy had a warrant out for his arrest, & asked the 1st officer what it was fro & from where, the cop started to tell him, then a motorcycle cop drove up & flew off his bike, nudged the other cop outta the way & started YELLING @ my buddy. My buddy said nicely, um "sir i was being explained by that officer what the problem is, until you so rudely interrupted him & pushed him outta the way" the Motorcycle cop DID NOT LIKE THAT @ ALL, , he began to shout @ my buddy " oh yeah" oh yeah,,,,,so then my buddy replies back "YEAH!", the motorcycle cop, lunged forward & hit my buddy in the chest with his elbow (keep in mind the 3 of us are sitting on a wall about 3 ft high) ,,,,as my buddy flies back & then starts to sit back up , & says what the **** was that for, the motorcycle cop, puts him in a headlock & starts yelling "STOP RESISTING< STOP RESISTING" all the other cops seemed baffled @ what was going on, & didn't move or say anything (he wasn't resisting, he wasn't doing ****) then the cop throws him on the ground diggs his knee in his back & starts wrenching his arm up......

as that happened (when the cop first elbowed my buddy) i pulled out my cell phone & started video taping it,,,,,no one noticed @ first because they were shocked, but i got a GOOD amount of it on tape (the whole initial shove & then the abuse after) then a lady cop grabs the phone out of my hand & says i cant tape it & yada yada yada, its already being taped, so i just sat there as they tried to get into my phone (i have it set to auto lock) they wanted me to give them the PW, but i told them i didn't get anything on it... they were saying there is no need to tape it, its all being recorded from our cruisers....but from that POV, its not going to do anyone good but the cops. since you wouldn't be able to see my buddy, since all the other cops were in the way.

needless to say i knew one of the cops pretty good & there wasn't a problem with me & my other buddy so he drove us back to my buddy's house...

but the ""?" is

am i allowed to tape something that i think is wrongfully happening....i sent a copy of the tape to my buddys lawyer for him to check it out, because the cops are now saying he put up a fight & they had to restrain him......(which is false because in my tape you clearly see, the cop yelling @ him, & the only thing my buddy does is lean forward about a half inch & say "yeah" quite calmly , & then that's when the cop gets PISSED off & assaults him.....

so what do u guys think?

you do realize we don't come on here everyday right?

yes for the most part you can videotape things on public property
