Been shooting an ice hockey tournament for a friend's company and thought I would share a few shots here. All were with the D3, 70-200 VR with and without the 1.4 TC. We were strobing the rinks with 2 Alien Bee 1600s aimed at the ceiling.

nice, I never really realized how many people strobed hockey games until I started shooting Flyers games and the team photographer had 3 strobes himself. I got a couple of his flashes in my shots and it ruined them a few times.

Those are some great hockey shots, #1 looks like a little Joe Thornton, especially wit that jersey. Great shots though, I'd love you to come shoot me playin haha.

yeah man i have been playin hockey for 13 years and out of all the tournments i have been to and all the photos i have been in ( hundreds ) i think out of all of them i have 4 or 5 that are even worth having. but these are some good shots man. i was up at ice works all last week score keeping the games i probly saw you there.

its amazing how much those strobes helped because trying to shoot hockey with arena lighting is super hard. great shots.
