Speeding ticket an Expired license

Well driving home from work today I was going pretty slow actually in the right hand lane. Then I got cut off so i switched to the left lane to get around this dude. As I do it the guy floors it to try and keep me from getting infront of him. So I threaded the needle while doing 60 in a 40. Just my luck cop pulls out and pulls me over.

Now I dont know how he got me because on the ticket he check the box stating other where it asks what form of proof he has. (other boxes in the section read radar vascar ect. ) Now i knew my license was expired so as soon as he walked up to my car I told him it was expired about a week or two ago. I have a clean record and was nothing but polite to this officer. For some reason he just didnt take to it tho. And was'nt much of a talker so I was kind of screwed.

Overall I got 2 citations 1 for speeding. 56.8 in a 40 mph zone and the other for the expired license. He allowed me to call a friend to come drive my car home tho. Another question being how do I renew my license if I lost those papers they send you. I cant see to find them but I assume if I just go up to the DMV I can do it all there.

EDIT: Looked over the citation again and he wrote the word "Robic" on the ticket. Any idea what that means?

Another question he didnt write any points on the ticket. How do I know if I will get any points on my license? This is my first ticket(s).

You can just go to the DMV and say you need a new license, I think its $10. A Robic watch is a piece of equipment used to calculate speed, its the same principle as vascar its just handheld. What statue number did he cite you for? It will be at the top left of the boxes with the fines and fees in them.

Thanks for the response Bane! The statue numbers he cited me for were 3362 sub sec a3 for the speeding and 1501 sub sec a for the expired license. I dont mind paying these tickets at all but I am just worried about the points. I hope I didnt get any. Someone told me for every 5 mph over the speed limit 1 point. So going by that I would assume I got 3. I hope I didnt get any tho. Can you tell me if I got any?

Hey bane if I fight the ticket how does the cop prove the speed I was going? Another question is how accurate is Robic?

I am fighting the ticket for speeding but I pled guilty to the expired license. Which I have straightened out now.

only thing you can do is go to court and talk to the judge and officer to see if they want to do anything about it unless you have proof you were not going the speed he cited you for
