How to Remove Baked-on "Dealer's Sticker" from trunk

Detailers, I need help!

So we all know (and hate) those damn dealer-applied stickers they put on the trunk of your car before they sell it to you. Normally, that is my first mod, to rip those things off. lol. I've debadged plenty of cars before, so I know the fishing line and Goo-gone/3M adhesive remover routine...

Problem: My car is 12 years old, and has probably had the sticker on for that long. Aka. the thing is completely baked on there. Like, I try to peel it off, and its just like a part of the paint. haha.

Anyone have any tricks or suggestions to get this damn thing off within destroying my paint and driving myself crazy? I'm due for a paint job soon enough anywho, so I could just wait and let a pro do it, but they would probably charge me cuz its suck a PITA.

Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks every1.

try using a heat gun and heat it up that should loosen up the adhesive

I would claybar the surface to get all the crap off the surface first, then heat it up and try rubbing it

Heat it, and use the fishing line trick afterwards.

heat gun and some boddy prep. if you get the sticker off depending on the color, it might be brighter where the sticker was lol. You might have to wet sand and buff the trunk.

I will try a heat gun, though I don't think that will work. The "adhesive" appears to be baked on, aka all dried up. It might be like heating a sticker that's been left out in the sun for 12 years... Will try it though.

Heat gun should do it with out a problem but you'll always see an outline of it on the paint. It's like a tan line.

it's incredible how much stuff you can find on youtube. i'm using it more like a research tool every day, not just to go on and look at stupid ****. anyway...

Using a Stripe Eraser

As the guy makes progress across the panel, you can see nothing left except for some eraser dust. that's the only by-product. it brushes right off like a pencil eraser. no stickiness or anything. This is by no means the only way to use it. i prefer to use mine with an air die grinder or air drill with a regulator attached so you can run it a little slower, but a regular drill will definitely work just fine.
