Just the other day i was on a road up in northeast PA making a left hand turn. There is small gravel on the road as with many other turns, when I pulled out in my truck my one wheel spun since i hit the gas on the gravel trying to pull out. I was pulled over and given a citation for 'careless driving' for spinning tires. I will admit it did spin for a second when pulling out but its not like i continued to do a burnout and slide sideways. I was wondering if this is worth fighting? Also he wrote me a citation, does this mean I will not be getting points? I looked on the PA web site and it said careless driving was 3 points, is this true even if he does not mention it? Thanks for the help!

If he cited you for careless yea it carries 3 points, you can go to court and explain to the judge what happened. Pulling out and having your tires spin on loose gravel is understandable just explain to the judge what the situation was and see if hell do anything.

Thanks for the response, I even went and took pictures of the gravel on the road. The officer told me that i wasnt even allowed to explain what happened as I was wasting my time, which I thought was pretty rude, but I guess I will go to court about this and waste a day on someone just trying to bust my balls apparently.
