The SOMEDAY Projects

I figured I'd start a thread to show you what projects I have lined up for whenever I get around to them... I imagine some of you have them as well, if so, post them up.

First up, 1965 Volkswagen Beetle with a baja kit... I want to turn it into a RallyCross/RallyAmerica car. It was parked after it started throwing flames out of the exhaust and eventually died... probably a timing problem and crap falling into it since there isn't a cover on it, but now that it's been sitting for a couple years (first in a barn, now in a field) i'm sure it will need more work than just that... it's my uncle's car, but it's been promised to me.

Secondly is my father's 1976 Dodge Dart Swinger... it was my first daily driver until I got my Ghia on the road... first 2 pics are how it looked when I was driving it, other pics are how it looks now... I checked out the build sheet recently and was unhappy to find out that it was originally a slant-6 and it had a soft-top on it... it was originally baby-crap brown metallic, I like the purple more, but I think when it gets fixed, I'll go with canary yellow with a black stripe around the back... it has a 318 in it now, the engine on the floor is a rebuilt 360 from a 78 (i think) Dodge Powerwagon which my dad started to restore and then sold to a friend. It needs a new k-frame, front section of sub-frame, heater core, bunch of other stuff... also needs a trans rebuild, but if I have my way, I'm going to just swap the automatic for a 4-speed. Interior looks great, the headliner split in the corners, so I'll replace that... the stitching on one of the seats split, but it won't be difficult to repair.

so, what's on your to-do list?

oh yeah, that thing's been on it since we bought the car... the PO was a kid who decided to do a bunch of stuff to it which I never would have done... but hey, to each their own, and it's just going to give me more things to tweak. lol

my to do list...

1. finish the 66 mustang with my dad.
2. find a good car to put my pontiac 400 motor in.
3. start a new project with my dad.
i would really like to get the stang done with him, he had a 66 when he was younger, he bought his brand new in 66, and in 67 he was running 12 flat on just motor with not to much work done to it. i just want to rebuild ours to the way he use to have his.
then the 400 motor i have is boared .20 over has a crazy cam in and some kind of hipo heads. just want to find some nice to get that into.

My project -
This fall buy 94-1998 dodge 2500/3500 2wd single cab work truck
Fully built motor/head
Fully built transmission
Built P7100 injection pump
Sliverbullet turbo over a " Big Brother " turbo - After all work want 125psi+
Custom injectors and injector lines
All new fuel system with pusher pumps and upgraded fuel pumps and all new lines
Nitrous - hoping for 100shot off the line and 300-400shot down the line
Built rear end with 4-link and coilovers and front coilover conversion
Full cage
All of this with trying to keep heat,ac, powersteering and full interior.
All this is going to take me about 2-3 years but after all said and done I want over 1000whp on fuel and around 1300-1400 on nitrous.
