First attempt at light painting

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I should have lit up the side of the car a little bit but ah well. I'll post some more up when I get home from work. What do you guys think?

i wouldn't really call that light painting. light painting i think of someone with glow sticks making messages or images. this is much more revelation of form. and I agree if you could reveal a little more of the cars form it would have been more successful.

Ah okay, I was a bit confused about what to call it. I've got some more pictures that reveal a bit more of the side of the car, I'll post them up later.

Light painting is what professional gaffers and DP's call their lighting techniques...makes it sound more artistic. Some, not all.. most aren't that pretentious. :D

keep at it. Research some lighting techniques online.

it is also the root for the word photography: painting with light.

I'm from a stage lighting background,
Revelation of form: Altering the perception of shapes onstage, particularly three-dimensional stage elements.
