Fuel line question

Not related to performance but not sure where else to put this. Can regular fuel lines that are used outside of the fuel tank be used inside of the fuel tank?

ive seen em be used temporarily... aka running a diesel rabbit pulling fuel line straight into a coffee can. Otherwise i would go for the proper parts.

You have to make sure your using submergable fuel line. Regular fuel; line from the auto parts store will work TEMPORARILY till the swell. What is it that your trying to do??

I am changing the fuel sending unit, and there are two lines connected to it(feed and return) that go to the pump.

NO! If it is not rated to be submersible it will swell and disintegrate in no time. You want SAE J30R10 hose. You can pick it up at almost any parts store.

Ok cool thanks. I'll see if any local stores have it.
