WTF: $886.75 aqua bill

so i'm looking at my monthly water bill. on avg for the last 4 years it was $40. i opened my mail this month and had to sit down and LOL it was $886.75

This is for a 2bed. 1 bath duplex in Huntington valley, WTF.

has anyone ever had this high of a bill in 1 month?

so i called them up and they said that they will send someone out to check out their stuff.

we'll see what happenes on thursday

unless your outside spicket is running constantly i dont see how you could run up a bill that high, definitely something wrong with the meter...that or hobo are stealing your water.

yeah, that sounds pretty impossible unless you're running a business that requires a lot of water...

my bill is usually 15-20 for a one bedroom each month... and i leave the shower on for long period of time. of course, it helps that the bill is shared with a few dozen other tenets

i thought you live in a complex? it is illegal for landlords to charge tenants for water usage in PA. i can leave the water on forever and not get charged. the only utility i pay is electric

well im about 90 percent sure that private or public, if you live in an apartment in PA the landlord can not charge you for water usuage.

if your average bill doesnt match up to what your current is, they can usually check on that and majority of the time its on their end

Theres probably a pipe that burst somewhere. hopefully its not your pipe.. if it is then you could get stuck with the bill and the cost to fix the pipe

You might have a pipe that burst like someone else mentioned which leaked out a ****LOAD of water, otherwise not really possible. Just hope its not that.

fyi you pay for water in Philly.. most landlords include it in rent cause youre talking about like 20 bucks a month.

have you noticed a sharp incline in bikini carwashes in your driveway over the last month? that might be your problem
