Well im sure there are post about this, but im a noob adn i did a search and nothing came up. I wanted to change my exhaust since my car is newley turboed stock is'nt cutting it. I wanted to go with a straight exhaust but i understand this is illigal. My question is that i know the SRT-4's have straight pipes but with 2 resinators, would this be considered fine for other cars as well? A straight pipe would be the the most cost efficient thing for me to do at this time i just want to be complient with the law,t hanks.

straight pipe = no cat, no mufflers and yes that is illegal

There is a sticky at the top of this section about loud exhaust and the decibel allowed etc, read it

a loud exhaust even if it "in spec" doesn't mean you wont get stopped for it
