Help: Drag strip helmet for free, work for anyone?

Just wondering if anybody who doesnt own a helmet ever went and bought one, raced with it, and returned it without problem. I need a quick solution for a helmet tonight to go to Island Raceway. I called and they said I could return it if there were no signs of use. What do you think? How strict are they with these things.

Most drag strips have rental helmets. Call and ask them.
