can I just ask a general powdercoating question...if you have something that is already powdercoated, is it hard to re-powdercoat it? Are there usually extra fees involved?

Removing powder coat is a big pain in the a$$. It is very hard to remove entirely so, yes there are a few extra fees involved because it takes much more time and supplies to remove it. For example- If it is a factory coating from many many years ago it is a bit easier to remove but if you have an item that has been freshly coated, it is very hard to remove. Hope to do business with you soon.

Yes, we carry a chrome powder coat. It cannot be compared to chrome plating though. It is very nice and its our shinest color. Feel free to check out our color selection and samples on our website.

every time you guys post i recheck your website and think of things i need coated. i hope business is well to you and let me say that as a smaller, mostly local vendor/shop (as far as i know), your website is well prepared. the pricing, color charts, and information provided is perfect for research and consideration.

I was curious, just for information, do you mix custom colors? Such as if someone had a custom paint job and wanted to color match items.

Thank you very much. I have spent many many hours preparing the website for the net and it is always good to hear positive comments on work I do. As for mixing colors, it cannot really be done like paint can. There are many other colors that I offer than what is on the website but the colors listed are the basics of what I always stock. Specialty colors can be ordered for an additional price. I always go out of the way to do the best I can for the customer. If you have a color sample I can try to search through my powder suppliers colors to see if I can match it. It is always much easier to match paint to powder coat then powder coat to paint.

Yes, I do a ton of intercooler pipes here. I have 8 shades of black in stock. They range from flat to mirror. Mirror is the shiniest with a 95% gloss. To coat IC piping is $1 per inch for black. You will have to take a string and measure the pipes. This includes media blasting, prepping, coating and masking off any areas that need to be. If they are powder coated already there is a 30-50% charge per item to remove the old coating. Stripping powder coat is a lot more involved and takes a lot more material to remove. Hope to do business with you soon. 215-295-4350
