you don't get out that much do you, 90% of the teggy's I see only have a loud exhaust on them, thats it, a finding someone with a turbo isn't the norm, check out team-integra.net or clubintegra.com
Your see that most guys are keeping their cars N/A |

If I had the money I'd pick up a nice GSR and do something like ITR cams, high comp pistons, ported head, header, intake manifold, upgrade the valve train for some fun, and then the usual weight reduction and power steering removal... but I don't have the money or a garage *le sigh*
Definitely wouldn't be as fast as a properly built turbo setup but it would still be fun! In for pics/builds |

Im currently building a n/a gsr. Build consists of this. Stock crank, stock rods, 82mm CTR pistons, all new OEM bearings, new ITR oil pump, P&P Head, Full ITR valvetrain and cams, ITR intake manifold, bored TB, Fuel rail, 4 to 1 headers, CTR crank pulley and a good TUNE. Im reusing my ITR tranny with a 3 puck exedy clutch/lightened flywheel I still need to calculate my injector size. Love/Hate comments?

if you want real power n/a, anything short of a k-series is virtually worthless in terms of price per power gained and even that isn't worth the price. 8k for a 170whp swap? i had a b18c1 with light mods and there was no noticeable gain..... my boy bobby has a 196whp n/a lsvtec with i believe a b16 tranny and even that is no fun to drive. there is no midrange grunt. every honda guy i know that has done n/a and then gone boost will tell you that they'll never understand why they even attempted an n/a build. unless you plan on road racing, small displacement powerbands are about as exciting as waiting for bad sex

^^^so true. i miss my turbo integra everyday. its so easy to boost 300hp stock without worries, its a no-brainer. the k-series is just an animal haha when i jump back in a honda that will be the powerplant.

i just don't like the idea of a 1500 rpm power band and no midrange. k-series is sexy but too expensive. you could buy an e36 bmw for the price of a k-swap. a boosted b18b is sexy though, much more fun than a bolt-on cammed b18c1

any k20's with dohc vtec are rare to see even the motor go for under 5 grand, you still need mounts and a tsx header, and you can do it for around 6K if you do every little detail by yourself. realistically you're still looking at around 6800-7200. if you do everything yourself prolly 6300 if you get a good deal on the motor. k20a3's don't exist in this debate. even so you just spend 6 grand for 170whp......
