fish eye ?

so a little while ago i rented the nikon 16mm fisheye lens because i was told it was the better lens for my camera (d90) than the 10.5mm fisheye.

now i was just looking at nikon cafe forums and there was a post asking about both of these lenses. the replys said the 10.5 was better for dx, and the 16 was better for fx. i did a little research and found the same answers on the net,

so did this guy bs me?

also, to any1 with a dx format (mostly everyone on here), what fish eye lense do you use? 10.5 or 16?

examples?

The 10.5 is made specifically for DX and will be a true 180-degree fisheye on your camera. The 16mm will not be a full 180-degree fisheye and is made for FX cameras. So yeah, whoever told you the 16mm was better for your D90 was either misinformed or trying to make a sale.

10.5=totally awesome piece of glass. i wish i never sold mine. the 180 degree FOV is fun to play with. my only suggestion is not to use it everyday. you WILL play it out and want to sell it.

the only photo i have left from it

edit heres some more i found
