gun questions, PA

Ok, so in light of the I love guns thread, I have a few questions about owning/purchasing handguns/firearms in the state of pennsylvania.
Im confused because the answers I get in that thread are not the same that I get online, so now i have to ask a few questions.

In the state of pennsylvania, what is the minimum age to purchase a handgun?
What is the minimum age to possess a handgun?
What are the possible consequences of open carrying a handgun outside of philadelphia with a ltcf?

If you look around you will see that the minimum age to purchase a hand gun in the state of PA is 18, but also you will see that there are federal laws prohibiting handgun/handgun ammuntion sales to anyone under the age of 21.

You need to be 21 to apply for a permit to carry a concealed firearm

Do not open carry, this is not the wild west, is it legal? pretty much yea, but you'll get stopped all the time and you also need a permit to open carry inside a vehicle. If I see you with your gun on your hip with no badge visible you can rest assured me and a couple other guys are gonna want to have a chat with you.

Thanks. Also, next week I plan to do some skeet shooting with a buddy of mine. I need to transport my shotgun in my trunk for nearly a week though, because I obviously cant have it in my on campus apartment. Is this legal? What is the best way to go about this if I dont want any trouble? I do have an ammunition case and a chamber lock, what other precautions should I take?

Don't bump your thread

Why do you need to leave it in your car for a week? If the campus has rules about firearms in the apt then the apt complex is probably considered the same thing and having a gun on campus property is probably a no go. Don't leave a gun sitting anywhere just leave it at home then go get it when you are going to go shoot, someone could swipe it out of your car and a pair of bolt cutters will handle the chamber lock then who knows where your gun will end up.

I park off campus and just walk to my room, and my school is nearly 3 hours away from my home.
