stay away from ZZP. stay away from canned tunes(intense, trifecta, etc.)

OTTP(over the top performance) is the best. they are out of michigan and they are 2 guys running a business.

cobaltss.net is a good place to find information, but theres also a ration of 6 to 1 in favor of crap to good information over there. if you have any questions, PM me, i used to own one, until i traded it for the sti.

Nice, and I like how it doesn't have the usual SS wing either.

Good luck bro

the reason i said OTTP is because they are on a forum im on(sorry invite only lol) and tehy hook us up with some discounts, hardcore and are ver very reputable.

go to cobaltss.net and search twincharge. they made 254 wheel hp twincharged. the GM stage 2 kit with full exhaust has dynoed higher. they bash members and other vendors, so i tell everyone to stay away, bash members and still make money... i dont think so.

Hahn Sportcraft, and HP Tuners.

Good suspension packages from Gravana Tuning as well.

Yeah HP tuners works well with the cars. Nice thing is if you get another Gm car can still use the tuner with it.

Sucks.
I've been driving a Cobolt Lt for the last three weeks as a rental, hope the SS is WAY better than this hunk.

The SS is a totally different beast. Same interior though.

I think in those Cobalt SS's you can drop the pulley size down one step smaller to get yourself some more boost possibly? We can do that in our cars however you guys are lucky with the cobalt's because your car has an intercooler from the factory. Stock my car has a 3.8" pulley and you have to do a few simple "safe" mods to keep the KR (Knock Retard) down to drop to a 3.5" pulley. Just don't do what alot of people do and drop the pulley down without keeping and eye on KR first. An Aeroforce Interceptor gauge or using the HP tuner program to monitor your cars functions helps.

The base model Cobalt has the 2.2 Ecotec N/A while the SS has the 2.0 Ecotec SC. In 2008 they came out with the turbo version which is nice i have heard. I have the 2.2 Ecotec in my base model Cavy and I am very happy with it for a DD beater.
