Hey, I was just wondering if there were any other officers on here besides Sarge? You do not have to respond here, I can understand not wanting everyone to know. If this is inappropriate, shut it down mods, but I figured I'd try.

Anyways, for the officers on here, do you like your job? What do you like about your job? What do you hate about your job, if anything? I know these are very broad questions, but I've seriously been considering, and am pretty sure I'm going to apply to the police academy, and I just wanted to get outside input.

My sister is a officer and LOVES it, she has been for 11 years, and my cousin is also an officer and also loves it. If you don't want to respond here, you can PM me. And I know you don't really have any reason to trust me, but I won't go around telling anybody that your an officer. This is a huge step for me and I'm looking for SERIOUS FEEDBACK!

my moms ex boyfriend is a cop. it was kinda weird in away, he loved his job, but it was akward coming home from doing somthing stupid that i knew i souldnt have been, and theres a off duty cop sitten on my couch.

dude ur bro = bad ass. Cops are ppl too and dont think for a second that they dont do some dumb **** too. If i had a dollar for every time ive seen a cop blow by me at like 120 on the highway without his lights on, Id be sitting very well by now.

Ndubz funny you should mention that i've had a few close calls in my old jetta where a cop just came up hauling ass and didn't bother to pull me over for speeding, but the best run in i've had with an officer for speeding turned out quite funny.My friend Andy had just bought his WRB 08 WRX after I bought my WRX and we both have 15% tint(everything but the windshield) and we were heading to his apt. at the PennState Berks campus, so were both cruising down the highway and we both move out of the left lane and into the right to let a State trooper pass by, the trooper was goin like 75, so I stay in the right maintaining about 60 65mph and Andy just starts gunnin it all the way up the cops ass matching speeds and all the way down in the distance I see him get pulled over. This was my first time going to his place in Berks so I didn't know where I was going I got off the same ramp he was pulled over on and the cop waived me to pull over I see him go up to Andy's car and then he comes over to me and was totally comical about the whole situation he told us he loved our cars but that they had illegal tint and that he would think that we'd wanna blend in and not tail him considering he's a state trooper and he just goes well atleast you slowed down and stayed back as for you friend why would he tail me especially with a car that stands out like that then he just told us to be safe watch the speed limit and to have a great day, the trooper had a smile on the entire time and he was laughing haha.

Hahaha thats hilarious. I love when cops are cool. My friends grandfather (who used to race porsches both on track and street) pulled a citzen's arrest on a cop and had him suspended from the force. for doin like 100 w/o his lights on. Another guy I know was mistaken for a suspect on a train and was attacked by 8 police officers. They didnt identify themselves as police officers. So he engaged them in combat and put 2 of them in the ER. He faced no charges and actually sued the department. Keep in mind hes like 6'5" and big.

But ya, every cop who has stopped me has always made some comment about my car. One time i was in my friends development and my one friend revved his stock pos 92 civic then left. A cop on a bike comes up and asks who's subaru was this. I said it was mine, and he asked me why i was revving my engine, i told him i hadnt, and that if i had, it wouldve been much louder if i had, and that id be happy to demonstrate lol. He then told me to be careful and to "keep this beast under control" lol. my car had been off the entire time. I just love how i got blamed for it. lol

Dan, I told ya you should go for it.. irregardless if you go with either of the 2 I told you that i know pay for the academy , its a rewarding career path. I think you would make an awesome officer. But I'm glad you are asking these questions here as well. One of these weekends I'll see if a few buddies of mine near you are available for a few mins and you can ask them as well if you want. Or see if "boo-boo" is around and at the FD and you can talk to him about it. He's still a cop after all. You have my # so text me if ya want and maybe I can set something up.

cops are cool in my book......never had a problem with any of them. they have a hard job to do so everytime i have been arrested aka "detained for questioning". we end up having a good laugh. i remember when i worked as a pizza delivery driver on the 35th. we use to have water gun fights with a couple of the officers, man good times. some of them still pull me over and bust my balls. like a couple weeks ago my buddy on the 25th pulled me over, ate his lunch. after he finish he walk over called me a fagg*t and ask me to let him drive my s13. there are some pretty cool cops out there. so dan do it become a police officer dude.

my sisters bf is a cop in delco and part of a swat team. he loves being a cop. he wanted to become a cop in chester but in order to be a cop in chester you have to live in chester, that pretty much was a no to my sister. hes trying for upper darby now.

my other sisters ex bf has a best friend that is a cop in jersey. he has some crazy stories of **** he does.

the reason cops always blow by you going 100 is because if they didnt everyone would do the speed limit because there would be a cop driving next to them, and there would be some crazy backed up traffic.
