not bad. a CP would have helped immensely in that AZ sun. I'm not a fan of the composition of a few of them but that bothered me little because of the quality subjects. When did you pick up the 17-55IS? That's a really solid lens.

I have a CP but I cheaped out on it... I definitely see why I should have spent the money on a brand name. As far as the composition, I agree. It was kind of on the fly I did the best with what I had. I wish I had some more time to drive around and find a nice spot.

I picked up the lens from Troll around Christmas time. Sadly I haven't had much time for shooting

ya know I did some reading/comparisons of cheap vs brand name filters and there seems to be no MAJOR differences. of course build quality lacks in the cheaper ones but as far as performance goes, the cheap ones hold their own. afaik you can adjust them while on the lens so maybe that needed to be done but i know im sure as hell not payin $100+ for a CP

Haha I hear you. I payed like 30 for mine and I can adjust it on the lens, but I definitely notice that as I rotate it it really doesnt make a huge difference.

^ they won't make a huge difference as you rotate it, it'll be enough to notice though.
