dont be a tool, do it right or dont do it at all, theres a whole thread on Nasioc for setting up trunk swaps, or you could keep your perfectly functional spoiler and be original. I should know, I've done all three.

he won't get blown around on the highway. I'm going to go wingless too. I would either get a cf trunk,
get a wingless trunk from subaru, or get the holes filled. Anything like tape or a plug will leak. Or of course
you could just find someone to swap with, but they are few and far between.

I'm pretty sure none of us get air.... and you'll get blown around just as much with an STi spoiler.

Sears has rubber plugs that are made for plugging the ports on grills, but they make awesome plugs for antenna and and wing removal on cars. I've used them on two of my cars, and a buddy has one on his Z32 with great results. It's simple, subtle, cheap, paintable, and a good short, or long-term solution until you can swap another or get yours filled and painted.

I agree swap it or fill and paint. Unless you don't know definitely that you want to keep it off in which case try the plugs but realize they will probably leak in the short term and possibly cause rust in the long term.

I love the STi spoiler for its functionality, but the WRX spoiler works and with the Spec C riser (rare as it may be) works every bit as well. I noticed a huge difference when I was still on stock suspension when I had the STi spoiler on and off, the rear seemed very loose.

Back on topic... Like i said go all in or leave it, plugging the holes is hit or miss, and painters tape will look gay.

if all of you are done debating things that manufacturers spend thousands of man hours analizing, ill be the helpful one here & give you an option:

http://garagespec.com/catalog/voltex...eza-p-525.html

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ex+wing+delete

the Voltex wing delete trunk cover. its not cheap, but it allows you to remove your spoiler, mount anothe one if necessary, and go back to your stock spoiler if u wish.

i feel like if u wanted to mount another wing, like the voltex one, you'd still have to drill into the trunk....unless it uses previous holes.

you would, the delete just serves to cover up the holes left by the previous wing.
