gm stage 2 -$400
2.80 pulley -$50
nos sniper 45wet shot -$285
cx racing h/e -$149
filter on stock airbox -$19
spark plugs -$4

total of $907 bucks into the car. my g/f bought me a bottle warmer and pressure gauge also but never used the bottle warmer. the dyno runs were on a 99 degree hot day and bottle temp was 650psi. so i assume if i heated it up or used the bottle warmer it would be a little bit more power.

big cx racing h/e. it was mission impossible to get it to fit in there. still using the stock h/e also. 2 h/e's is better

listed above. thanks. if i sprayed more i assume my trap speed would be higher and should be a low 12sec car but who knows

nice. does he still have the cobalt? where did he get tuned? assuming tune time performance down the shore or idk where else he would go unless he tunes himself

*yes, it is on stock exhaust. stock exhaust is 2.5inch with some small bends so i just left it on there.

Ya he still has it, was giving him some trouble the other day throwing some MAF Codes or something....Right now he just has an Intense Stage 4 PCM Tune....

He is waiting to get the HPtuner and get it tuned, not sure where yet (any suggestions) Me and him have built his and my car together from bone stock....
Also making him work on a fuel return system so we dont go through the typical blown motors, specifically the number 4 piston....

Any future plans for the balt? Endplates for that heat exchanger maybe, exhaust?

he already blew his motor. i read up on his thread. he said it sounds like a wrx. that means he popped his motor and or one spark plug isn't getting spark however since he was running nitrous + intense he probably popped it. just a thought since i've heard intense tunes run lean and since there canned tunes and not probably adjusted for each car i believe your supposed to get a custom tune.

that's the only reason why i stayed on gm stage 2 tune because it's been working on so many times and in 2007 they changed the tunes up a little bit to be more aggressive and a tad bit more safe (runs more timing and the engine when you drop pulleys receives no knock)

*i have a cx h/e which i have the biggest for now that you can possible fit on a cobalt. if i don't sell the car i am not sure if i will do anything. it all depends on how my future goes and the economy

Also best tune place i've heard is tune time performance. it's down the shore in nj

Welcome dude. Sick sounding Cobalt, awesome times and numbers too. Now, HP Tune it, and see where it can really go.

negative. i have a different way of modding philosophy than others. car comes with a 2.5 inch exhaust other than the bend. personally have a lot of faith in the gm stage 2 tune b/c gm made it very well even though it's a canned tune. the 07 tunes are different than the 05/06's btw if you didn't know. The car did get data logged and was receiving no knock during those pulls. however the car does not make power past 6,600-6,700 rpm range.

also i run the fuel jet rich. i have a 22 fuel jet in there which is recommend for a lot higher of a shot. i figured i would run it rich just to be safe.

i personally don't know how to tune or use hp tuners. if someone knew how to and could teach me the base of it i would go out and buy it in a heart beat.

I understand dude. and i do know about the stage 2, sold many many many stage kits.
I've read all the bashing on .net and just don't personally know you or your car so I'm not going to, nor do I have the right to doubt or bash you. I just know that the stage 2 tune, even for the 07 is still very conservative, as well as the other years. my reasoning for also downsizing my pulley before I tune. I went with the 2.9 because the the 42.5 injectors idc gets a little scary with a 2.8.
