Blast from the past... 1994 Nikon E2

My husband has begun to collect old Nikon bodies for some reason, and just picked this up... a Nikon E2. Nice 1.2 megapixel beast with a strange memory card where we can't find anything to read it, so we view the pictures on our TV

And for a size comparison, here it is next to a D1

Quality is better than some cell phone pictures at least, and has a nice hearty mechanical sound to it. Fun little conversation piece to have sitting around

Now I'm pressuring my husband to get a D100 so we have all the triple digit Nikon bodies in our collection...

That is awesome. At first glance I thought it was an on 120 film camera, but this is way cooler. I like how it has a "Quality" button, just in case you don't want to unleash all 1.2 MP.

looks like its a PCMCIA card.

This may do the trick if you have an open PCI slot on your motherboard (assuming you're running a pc)

LOL. The card holds 7 pictures at the highest quality level So sometimes, I suppose the beast needs to get tamed!

My husband is a computer nerd, so I think he's figuring something out. Or ordered something.. I'm not sure... I kinda go "eee, computers!" and run away and hide. I just know he wasn't getting the card to read yesterday, so he hooked up the camera to the TV because we were so eager to see the pictures the camera could produce.

I had no clue it was that big. The first few pictures make it look like something point & shoot sized. That's incredible.

Ebay maybe? I have no idea... it just kinda appeared one day... Kinda like I have clothes that appear... ;)

We haven't tried anything further to get the pictures off, but he made this video of the camera at it's fullest FPS: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bwTGqLMJgg which is fun to watch in comparison to my F5: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=620e6...eature=channel
