Carsense

I'm looking at a car from carsense and even though they say they have "no haggle pricing". Has anyone ever dealt with them and has anyone been successful in getting the price down to a more competitive price where the car is actually worth the buy? Thanks!

Yeah i agree that they are not in any position to make rules. I found the car i want in the color i want and they just happen to have it. The price is not too bad, but could be way better as other dealerships are lower. I'm thinking about going there to check the car out and offer them a competitive price. The guy told me how they do not negotiate prices but they offer things dealerships don't. I basically just laughed and said that price is more important then warranties as to how the economy is and how cars are not everyones first priority. haha. I didn't get a response back. haha. they want 17.9k for the car, i think 15.5 is really reasonable for the car since hardly anyone is buying cars right now.

exactly, they followed me around the dealership that i bought my car at like flys when i headed towards the car we pulled up in and said id go else where (this was 6 months ago) bring your homework, dorp it on there desk tell them they know how to reach u n see what happens. Sometimes places like that will not "haggle" but mysteriously drop sticker price down to a new no haggle price wich just so happens to be the one you wanted lol. But i think they do offer life time engine warranties on all there cars wich is a really good deal beat the **** outa that first motor haha

lol yeah they do. Everyone is struggling selling cars, so i don't think that they should be hesitant on dropping the price and selling a car thats been in inventory for a while. I'm really tempted to go to this one dealership that has had the same car i was looking at since the summer... I'm sure they will be real flexible on the price, but its not the color i want unfortunately, but i could make due. lol

haha naw its an 06 mazdaspeed 6 in white. It looks nice especially with a drop and some wheels to go along with it. Can't forget the homedepot front lip! haha. Every other speed 6 around here is gray mica. I like it, but the white just looks overall better.

Just for your knowledge...dealerships are not in the position to haggle substantially on prices right now. Just because the economy is bad doesn't mean they are going to drop their pants to make a deal. Dealerships are pinching every penny right now just to keep the lights on in the showroom, so keep that in mind as well. Also with a dealership like carsense they sell only used cars and guess what...used car sales are up because people are deciding to save the extra money and not buy new. So they know they can say no to you and someone else will come along and happily pay that price.
I say this because I am in the automotive business and I have seen this trend among consumers thinking they can get something for nothing. If the economy is ever going to get better businesses need to start making money not losing it.

That's a long ways from me. LOL That's down by the city. I live an hour north of Scranton...just over the PA/NY border.

What car are you looking at? I know our dealership negotiates STRONG, and we are already priced below most.

I bought my MS3 from carsense and my Dad bought his S2K from them-- but I have test driven an tried to negotiate with them on at least 1/2 dozen cars.

They are very hard to negotiate with, especially with a car that is hard(er) to find like a MS3 or a MS6. They have very competitive pricing usually and they usually only stock 1 model of each car in 1 color unless you are looking for a cobalt or a civic. They kind of have you by the balls because they know that if you walk away the car will probably sell within the next week anyway and you will most likely never find x model in x color at their price anywhere else.

I played the 'hard buy' on my MS3 and walked away hoping they would call me, and they did, but never offered to lower the price. I ended up negotiating them up higher on my WRX trade-in instead of getting them to move on the sale price of the new car. I didn't want to take the chance of losing the car (which only had 7k on it) and pay 3-5k more for a dealer new one.

Their prices aren't super low, but I think they are fair considering what kind of inspection process and warranty you get with the car. They also offer a lifetime engine warranty which I think is pretty unheard of in the industry.

I don't know how they will be in the current economy.

I plan on modding the car though so the warranty would be gone if i did that unless i took erything off. lol. I dunno, I really only wanna pay around 16 for a ms6 especially if i'm gonna be financing it. I cna get a gray mica one that i've seen for sale since the summer for a grand less and that's before i haggle them down. haha car here

I used to work for them. They do have pretty good prices and do follow up with warranties so I would definitely trust them. I wouldn't say they are the best when trying to haggle down but they are solid in their cars.
