95 eclipse& 05 altima

420a engines

Does anyone knows a shop or anyone that is really familiar with eclipse 420a engines I have a rebuilt engine with forged internals (putting a turbo on soon)but have hesistant start problem and tried the crank and cam sensor even the timing and exhausted any other things to think of at this point.

I think I know exactly what your problem is.

If you add a new crank or cam sensor they need to be synced by a computer. It should start though if thats the case. hmmmmm

It starts right away sometimes and then other times it takes like 8 sec. or so to start and when it does it revs a high for a couple secs. also

Yea if you added a new crank/cam sensor you need to take it to the dealer and get the sensors synched I'm pretty sure. I had to do that with an old car of mine because it would just stop running.

And I'm sure there is no work around the dealer for that sync huh because im sure that maybe a grip to take it to them

Maybe one of them big Snap On scanners might have that kind of option. Give that a try.

I don't want to try and tell you what to do or waste your money. It's just a suggestion. Try hitting up a DSM specific forum first before dealing with spending money to get it fixed.
