If I were to install a small rear view camera into my plate, would there by anything illegal about this?

I read through the license plate section of the vehicle code seeing if there was anything that I could pop you for

Closest thing I got was §1332 (b) Obscuring plate which says that if the plate number cannot be read it is a violation. So if you put the camera in the middle of a 0 and it makes it look like an 8 you get get cited but if you had it at the very edge where you don't even see it I don't see that as obscuring anything.
