Talking Picked Up A New Vehicle

1997, 4.0L, 5 speed TJ.. just picked it up a few hours ago. This is my 5th Jeep (YJ, XJ, YJ, XJ in that order). I left my tripod in the Camaro so pardon the blurry photo and flash

I have Hella E-code headlights, 100/170 IPF bulbs, custom upgraded 12 gauge wiring harness with relays, fuse, and ground. Those will be installed shortly. I need to do the typical tune up stuff (oil, filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, etc.).

Future mods will be: 3" Teraflex lift, 33" Mickey Thompson MTZ's or Wrangler MTR's, new rims (not sure what yet), front & rear Smittybilt bumpers, Smittbilt rocker guards, Smittybilt 10k lb winch, Tuffy security console, box, and glove box, hood lock, Bestop sailcloth top, new seats, Bestop summer combo (bikini top, windjammer, duster deck cover), Bushwacker 6" flares, etc..

Here's my fav Jeep I had in the past, and it will be built similar to it:

I'm not doing flat fenders this time around. Trying to make this a bolt on build with products that my company sells

I will never own a Jeep in my life although I bet they are a blast offroading. I just despise them.

Nice Jeep!

Did you get around to installing the e-codes yet? I am thinking of a set for my miata. I can't strike a good balance been a well lit road surface and good distance/width for dark back roads.

Nice. Jeeps are so fun to ride around/off road with. I wish I had some extra cash to pick one up.

I picked up a 95 ZJ from a guy on here about a year ago. Truck has barely seen the road. I think the only time it does is to get somewhere to go offroad. wheeling is now my new favorite thing to do

Thanks again guys.

The E-codes come today from Susquehanna Motorsports. I'll be installing them tonight most likely right after work. I'll try to get some comparison shots between factory and the E-codes. I have the upgraded wiring harness in already, so the factory lights are quite a bit brighter than on the factory harness.

Wheeling is an addiction. Just be warned any of you who want to get a Jeep. It'll be worse than your car! ;-)

you only have one jeep now? or do you still own one or more of the other ones you mentioned.???

Hey Vtecepidemic: Nice driveway ;-) Yes, 87-95 Wrangler's are YJ's. I work for Quadratec so this is going to be my 5th Jeep build. I can't wait. I already have my list of parts shipping in from our vendors :-D

Everyone here needs to buy some beater Jeeps and we can start the TriState Tuners Jeep Association lol.

i just picked up my 96 Cherokee country, obviously an xj, and that thing is probably the funnest suv i have ever driven... it has 180k on it and the 4.0 still runs like a champ, makes less noise then my D16y8 did in my EG lol. i always hated jeeps... hated the whole, its a jeep thing you wouldnt understand..but god damn.. after owning one.. that saying is correct, i dont know what it is about my jeep, but i love it <3
