My apt complex caught on fire earlier today :(

Apparently the cause was some issue with pipes, heating, and old as s*** insulation. The apt across the hall from me is completely waterlogged and destroyed, and the apt above it no longer has a floor or windows. (My place is fine though, as is my turtle, just have a door kicked in and its already fixed) No one was hurt. Hatboro and surrounding area firefighters FTW! Definitely did a great job.

Now if only it wasn't freezing outside bc my entire apt smells like smoke

Front page news on the Intelligencer tomorrow or Monday, I bet. Idk how many alarms went off, but it was a huge turnout from the firefighters. The waterfall has finally subsided from the neighboring apartment. Now to mop up the mess in the hallway

Yeah, I got a call from my friends upstairs while I was on my way home from work. There were at least 6 trucks there, ladders out and everything. It happened at 4, I was just allowed back in around 6:15

Nah, route 611 auto outlet, nextdoor to nino's pizzarama. Someone in your complex actually just bought a minivan from us, look for a white 99ish caravan, white with white wheels.

Let me know if you need help with anything, i can come by after work one day and lend a hand if so.

I appreciate that, but I'm fine. Stuff is ok too. It's actually the building that faces the road, just the damage was done facing the parking lot. It's just crazy to look out across the hall and see an entirely gutted apartment raining on the inside

Any tips for getting this smokey stench out of my place? I think I'm gonna have to leave the windows open and freeze my a** off on one of the coldest nights so this week.

air filters with charcoal elements

lots of boxes of baking soda might absorb the smell alittle.

u might need to have your upholstery cleaned, try steaming your carpets, and air that bitch out.

go to home depot and see what u can rent, id get one of those window fans that look like they came off a air boat in the everglades. the more windows u have open the better the flow, id have one fan blowing in and one blowing out, just wear your everest climbing gear. then after that go to my previous method.
