**Keep in Gallery, i got mad pics**

So i picked up a set of rs178s this weekend. They are in decent shape but are in great need of a clean up. The prevoious previous owner decided to just spray paint everything silver leaving the bolts and everything with a nice layer of paint. I know you are all more intersted in pictures so ill get to them. Thread will be updated as i get to work on them.
Plans:
-Polish lips
-Polish bolts
-Polish hex nuts
-Paint centers silver
-Paint Barrels silver
-Black and silver center caps
-BBS logo valve stems
-215/45/17 Falken 512s

FINISHING GOAL: SPRING SHOW AND GO

Peogress on the first wheel

All the bolts are out!

Stripped the head of the Bolts

Started on the lip with some stripper...clearly my first time

Finally got it down to bare metal...Lookin Good ;)

And heres a pic of my little workshop aka my parents basement

wear gloves and a mask and make sure there's ventilation in there! if you've never read the warning on the side of the aircraft remover, do it. dont be scared when you get to the part where it says 'this causes cancer' though... haha.

I love BBS wheels, can't wait to see the outcome of these. I'd probably get them powdercoated once they are all apart and stripped.

FUll poolished lips bolts and centecaps...probably doing the centers silver as i would never want to even try to polish them.

Good luck with finishing this project. Be careful with that stripper it can mess you up if you inhale to much.

how are u going to be polishing the bolts?

and how are you painting them?

im probably going to end up buying new bolts...they are onley about 165 for a full set. and as far as painting them, i dont know yet. i may even get the powdercoated. i havent decided for sure yet
