CAn someone run a carfax report for me? Friend is looking at a new car, and I want to see some history about it.

A 2006 car really shouldn't have 8 records unless it was dealer serviced or it's had multiple owners, or been sold and re-sold at the auction. Definately get a report before buying and inspect closely either way, often times cars that have been damaged will still have a clean report.

BTW I didn't run an actual report, but I just plugged it to carfax and saw how many records it would give me. I used to be able to do free carfax reports at the dealership where I work, but they raised the rates and we don't pay a flat rate anymore so I can't give them out like I used to.

Is carfax really that much? You thinking about investing into a car but stingy about paying for the report. If its at a dealer request to see it, most of the time they will.

The car isnt for me, its for someone else. And, since other members here have received carfax reports for cars, I was hoping that I could do the same, since some people have unlimited carfax reports, like Cleanneon had.

If the car was fixed by a street mechanic or paid some one on the side to do the work it would have never got reported on car facts
