Anyone Outside During the Last 2 Hours?

WTF?! I was in my friends basement all night. At about 12:30 I decided I was tired and wanted to go home. I walk outside to a skating rink with it snowing and freezing rain coming down too. I get to my Jeep after almost falling a few times to see it covered in a great sheet of ice. I had to break through the ice to get into the Jeep.

My friends driveway is long, 1000+ feet, including a near U turn and steep hill. I hit my brakes on her hill and continued moving faster.. had to let off the brake, put the Jeep into 1st gear, and then go down the hill like that. Route 100 was shut down. Route 30 was shut down BOTH ways, Route 202 was shut down BOTH ways.. it is insane. If you hit 20+ you start to slip all over the road. Cars were turned around, crashed, stopped, everywhere. I haven't seen the roads this bad... maybe ever. Give me 2 feet of snow over .25" of solid ice any day. I even had issues going up hills with my 4WD on...

BE CAREFUL if any of you are planning to venture out in this. I saw 3 Nissan's? on 100 by the Hess trying to "drift" in the ice...

I just got in from tearing up the quiet residential streets in my town for about a 1/2 hour. Hands down the most fun in the s2000 I have ever had and the best drifting.

i noticed the same thing my traction light was blinking like crazy a couple times and abs was having a hell of a time... those roads were not safe on my way home for damn sure.... and for those of you thinking this is fun just be careful... it's fun til something goes wrong.. public streets and inclement weather can be risky...

78 East was shut down on my way to work at 8:00. Thankfully I was going West. I noticed some serious slippage, even with my Dunlop Wintersport M3s.
I think it's warming up

Damn. It had just started raining when I was leaving the bar so it was still ok then, but I was suppose to go see my girlfriend last night when she got off work at midnight. She called me when she got home and refused to let me come over saying that she did a 180 in the road and ended up in someones yard. I thought she was over reacting and went outside to see for myself and almost fell on my ass! So I took her advice and stayed home.

yea, i went out and looked this morning and after it happened i parked backed in like 2 ft from a curb i walked out this morning around 1pm and found it backed into the curb, i guess it slowly slid on the ice. So my muffler was sitting on the curb and the driver door is pretty ****ed up. I am so pissed
