I just went through the whole notebook search. I initially bought a lenovo... supposed to be like an IBM... whatever, the thing was a peice of junk. Definetly dont buy a Lenovo. I recieved my first one, and it stopped working completely within a week. I asked for a refund then, but they denied it and replaced the computer (with a completely different model, didnt tell me that, it just showed up). The replacement (a Y510) worked a bit longer, but froze often and was all around slow. My mom and I had to get pretty demanding for them to finally issue us a refund. I would not recommend lenovo under any circumstances. I looked into Dell's, Acers, Toshiba, and HP. I settled on the HP nc6400 and I like it a lot. If not this, I would have gone for a Toshiba satellite.

My first choice was a mac, but my budget was a strict $800 max.

besides the tacky gold color, this is a steal 4 gb memory, 250 gb hard drive, core 2 duo processor, Ge force 9300 graphics card with a lot of dedicated memory, not to mention a hdmi and e-sata connections

i think this is a amazing deal for an asus

I just got this one when it was on sale for 899 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1218012194815

BluRay, 4GB ram, 512MB graphics card and HDMI to throw it on a HD TV. I've had it for a few weeks now and I love it.

I know this is my work cutting into this, but they use a pretty expensive casket for the Dragula.
