Tablets: need advice

I have been bored this past week and took a look at some tablets. I think the concept is nice and I have read some reviews as well as past threads.

Who here uses them on a regular basis?

would you consider the Vistablet 12" http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...=568753&is=REG

or go with the more common Wacom

Thanks

I wouldn't get anything but Wacom

They are the standard as far as tablets are concerned

I love using them
They cut down retouching time by a significant amount

I have the 12" VisTablet. I love it. If you want to try to schedule something, I'd be happy to try and meet up with you so you can check it out before you buy one. I feel that for the money, they are a better deal than the Wacom. What OS are you using? They are really designed to be used with Vista, but they work just fine with Mac and XP. I use mine on all three with no issues. The 14 customizable hotspots are a really nice feature that the Wacoms dont have. You can program them to run actions, select tools, save, open, close, etc.

Let me know if you need any more info, or if you want to meet up.

Thanks I'm at penn state till the 20th.. I used my professors Wacom 12" yesturday and was blown away, this is a deffinate buy. Although I think anything bigger then the vistablet would be to big. Right now i have just about enough room to open a note book on my desk so I think I would be working from my lap. For OSX I have 10.4.11 and photoshop 7 on a G4 powerbook

I got my girlfriend the Intuos 6x11 last X-mas and she loves it, super useful for everything and anything graphic design related and beyond.
