Some advice Please!

I own a 2003 VW 1.8t, and i was wondering if anyone happen to know of any top of the line exhaust systems. Or if anyone knew of good sites with good exhuast systems, I would appreciate it very much. Thanks

spturbo.com

schimmel does great custom exhaust and is close to westminster. he does great work. IMO straight 3inch exhaust into a striaght thru designed magnaflow muffler sounds the best on 1.8t's. soo good.

yeah they carry products but most premade products are not true to the pipe size and/or are not much bigger then stock. spturbo makes exhaust true to there claimed size.

Isn't 3" a little oversized for a 1.8? Unless he's running insane boost, seems like it would be overkill.

if you go on Vwwhortex it's a huge debacle where people debate both sides but really 2.5" is big enough unless you upgrade to a BT

Yeah, I was thinking 2.5 or 2.75 max for a 1.8.

I mean I have a 3", but I also have a V6 S/C running 10-12 psi.
I can't imagine having that exhaust on something much smaller that wasn't cranking out 15-20+ psi.

Ugh...I hate VWVortex. Bunch of Euro-driving elitists on that site.
The guys on VWFixx are much more friendly. They didn't even care that I own a WRX.

Wasn't sure where VW fall in the stock psi curve since I really don't follow them. I was thinking Saab turbos are generally below 10 with a 1.8, so I assumed VW would be close.
