S-Chasis Philly Cruise

Okay because I'm bored, here's my proposal, let's do a Philly Night Cruise.
Here's the gist, a central meeting point with a final destination point with several marshaling points in between where wait-up for our fellow s-chasis's and others before heading on to the next stop. Could be fun, since it's really too cold for a stand outside meet.

So here my plan...

Meet up in front AutoZone at Mascher St. between W. Duncannon and Ashdale. Caravan leaves at 9:30pm down Mascher. Shoot down Mascher to Rising Sun, to 2nd Street. We'll take 2nd Street all the way down to Callowhill St. (Marshal Point 1). Right on Callowhill to N. Broad. Left on N. Broad swing around City Hall, continue on S. Broad to South Street (Marshal Point 2). Left on South Street (East-bound) to 3rd Street. Head north (left) on 3rd, up to Arch Street. Left on Arch heading west (stop at Arch between 6th and 7th, Marshal point 3) to the Ben Franklin Parkway, to the local access lanes up to the Rodin Museum (Marshal point 4). Head up the Parkway to Boat House Row and Kelly Drive. Follow Kelly Drive up to Ridge Avenue, (see map) go to Main Street (Left fork) split ("Y" Ridge goes up the hill) to Marshal Point 5 Across from Manayunk Diner and UA Theater. Follow Main Street up to Manayunk, turn around at Green Lane (right), Right onto Cresson, right on Gay, left back onto Main. Head back down Main Street and finish "Cruise" at the Manayunk Diner.

Manayunk Diner, 3720 Main Street

Just need to pick a day, I say do it on Friday night when we're all bored and have nothing better to do.

So who's up for it? Come on S-Chasis's...and ok R's too... hehehe...

I would LOVE to do this. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone will wait for Reese and Will to finish my car so I'll most likely be rolling with Reese.

I'd be down for the kelly drive portion. I can't take my 240 down south street. It scrapes the whole way down the street. And plus the roads around south street are major suck.

would be pretty sick. manayunk is a good end point too.

if you guys wanted, i could take u for a nice quick cruise through a couple favorite back roads near that area

This doesn't have to be a one time thing... it can be whenever, just establish a day and or time... plan it and people will come. Reese can ride with you next time hahaha...

People can pick up the caravan at any point along the cruise, that's why there's the maps.. ;-)

Yeah, more like what roads are like NOT under repair or in NEED repair in Philly. I think the worst road in Philly is Race between 12 and 10 Street in Chinatown, that is definately 4x4 country...

Yeah...haha really, but the plan is to end at the Manayunk Diner, they have a huge parking lot that is never crowed. I wouldn't to attract a lot of attetion though.

I have ideas for other crusies that have nothing to do with Center City Philly, but surrounding areas like the Northeast maybe even a cruise to Ambler to my friends' restaurant. People have to be on their best behavior though.

There's an easier way once you get to the Roxborough-Manayunk area that doesn't require going through Manayunk. Manayunk streets are pure fail and I'd hate for you guys to get split up or something.

I used to work in Manayunk, and drove there everyday in my lowered s-14, and as long as you stay on Main street your okay. I saying to come up through Main street then turn around at Green lane and come back to Main. Depending on how many show up we could pass each other on the return leg.

well if this is a 'stay quiet' event then count me out haha. 3 inch open downpipe is NOT quiet.

i guess i'd be down for this cruise. is it this friday (28th)?? i'd say the sooner the better.. there's no way in hell i'm bringing the S13 out if there's even a chance of snow/ice. i bet most of you guys are thinking the same thing. my car barely goes in a straight line if it's raining in the summer. on second thought, it's not gonna be a comfortable ride anyway, i have no heat in my car haha
