New Xbox 360 Dashboard

just makes it easier for them to market all the merchandise they wanna push on us now such as netflix and etc. the new dash does come packed with some neat features and they have to keep interesting and fresh to make people wanna stay and give them that something new feeling. i could care either way since i boot up my xbox like 2x a year however i did get a laugh when i saw the "mii" characters.. obvious ripoff.

I don't see how they can force a such a drastic change on paying customers that are objecting so strongly. I am going to call customer service again today because I couldn't get through last night.

I paid for my 360 and for the rights to use XBL. For them to say that I can not use XBL unless I put their little homo update on my 360 is ****ed up and I have every right to be pissed about it.

well... you don't own the software... they do, they're allowed to make the rules as far as using their software. As far as the 360 itself, you can use that and the hardware for whatever you want.

What I am trying to get across here is that there should have been an option as to whether or not you wanted to upgrade to the new dashboard, especially when you pay $50 every year so that you can use the software.

Then again this is Microsoft, so I shouldn't be too surprised.

You did have the option to opt out. You could have declined their new T&C. Sure, you would have been left with a fancy white paper weight, but that is the choice you had to make.

from what im seeing from the site i kinda like it so far.. my xbox isnt hooked up to the internet atm so Ill do that when I get home and see.

im lost on what's so terrible about it. there are a ton of new features and all of the old features are still there. your not forced to use the new features if you don't want to...just a different GUI with more options no biggy, just learn it and use it.... took me all of 3 minutes to navigate around it.

if your that upset that its so horrible read on xboxscene.com seems like everyone is happy with it and what it can do such as ripping games etc.

i prefer the old gui... but i'll deal with the new one.

I was aggravated too when I was just trying to play a few CODWAW matches before bed and I had to download this crap, watch some dumb 5 minute animation, and then pick a goddamn wii character. As for the new dashboard it self.. way too childish. fail. As far as the new features, havent used them.. you can rip games????
