No. Itching means it's healing and also usually means there are still scabs. Scratching scabs off usually pulls ink out and you end up with scars with no ink. Don't do it. Trust me.

Definately don't put aquafor on it if it's been more than 4 days. How long since you got it?

Haha it's like, torture, isn't it? Do whatever you have to do to not scratch it. Keep putting lotion or something on it, keep it moist. All you need is a thin coat.

You usually only want to put it on for the first 3-4 days.
Since you've had yours for as long as you have, make sure you use a waterbased non-scented lotion and apply it as much as you see fit. Do not use any more ointments as you're WAY passed the amount of time you should be doing that.

LOL Yeah, seriously, don't. Slap it if you have to with an open hand. That will help calm the nerves. BUT DO NOT SCRATCH IT!

Secondly, what do you mean the lines were getting too thick? A whole bunch of this doesn't make sense to me. Is that what he said? Line work shouldn't really make you swell that much and certainly not enough to keep you from continuing. It's usually the shading and color work that causes swelling since the technique used forces the artist to over lap different grays/colors. And if he did indeed mean the lines were actually getting too thick, then that's a problem... Take a picture and post it for me.

Dont sratch it, when i use to get new tattoos i would slap it and that would take the itch away and yet avoid sratching the area..... ;)
