Speaker Question

I have a question about the speakers on my mustang. I have the Mach 460 sound system and my knowledge on car stereo isn't the greatest and I was wondering if anyone else would know. I went to Circuit City awhile ago to look at speakers and one of the guys said that if you wanted to replace the stock speakers you would have to rewire all the speakers and he might of said do something else like getting new speakers all the way around. Does anyone know if this is true because I would like to steer away from this if I can and not spend lots of money . Thanks.

Rob

i'm pretty sure this is true because my friend went through this on his '03 GT..the re-wiring has to bypass the factory amp usually and thats a pain in the ass. Personally i think the mach 460 sounds good as it is, just get a new headunit and you're set. Thats what my friend did when he found out about the re-wiring. It was also a pain in the ass to get his subs installed. Oh well hes stubborn
