2010 Mustang really revealed

Official pics and specs are finally out!
Check it out.

http://www.topgear.com/us/blog/more/...stang-is-here/

Honestly, not that psyched from a specs aspect, but hopefully the new engines will be out soon. A warmed-over EcoBoost + real rear suspension (not live-axle) = !!!!

body looks the same, u would think 2010 would be a good time to change it up a bit, but they did just change it in 05 so maybe they though it was too soon

I agree, and am guessing they didnt want to get too serious with a redesign because of how successful the 2005 was.
I think the 2011 will be more notable if the new engines come through but we'll see.

Restyling of the same platform with the same motor. 5 years and that's the best they can do? Same crappy rear suspension, same over weight chassis, same underpowered V8, same cheap plasticy interior. Only in America!

^ Lol, it's not like Ford can afford to make big changes right now anyway.

But they can afford to make a one model only 6.2L V8 for a niche market off road performance truck!

I think they should stray away from the retro look. It had its reappearance already.

owning an 05 mustang, I'm glad I will be keeping my 05. I'm not a big fan of the restyle front and rear, the interior is "ok" it almost gives it a luxury look on the inside. the only thing I like about the new mustang is they decided to go with a decent style cowl hood from the factory!

but the big change is going to be in 2011-12 when they rumored they will be returning the 5.0L engine.

Considering Ford's financial situation (and automakers across the board, some worse than others) It's a start, more of a preparation for the next model, they have been focusing alot of their energy/finances on the new Ecoboost engines.

They probably didnt go too extreme with it, BECAUSE of the engines being developed. The TT V6 is expected to overpower the current GT V8, making Ford have to reconsider the Mustang lineup and engine placement. It's been rumored that the TT V6 will become the standard engine, with the Shelby GT500 being the only V8 model. Ford is trying to develop a powerful V8 that doesn't out power the GT500, is considerably more powerful than the TT V6 all while being within normal GT price range AND meeting the new EPA fuel requirements. So, I'm sure once they figure out the powertrain set up, they will focus on the design of the car.

The Mustang is lucky in a sense that it even got a "style" change, the 2010 Fusion is also on the design board and they just redid the F150, but they put the SVT Fusion on the back burner.

While I agree on some points.....did you take notice of the interior?

I'm sorry but they made leaps and bounds since the interior in our cars.

They finally have controls on the steering wheel, of which the current S197s do not. The radio and climate control are all electronic and digital now, from the looks of that picture. Again our interiors arent even close to that. Even the current S197s dont have that.

Not saying it matters, cuz I like my uncomplicated, plastic turn nobs lol. Cuz when I get in my G35 I get all kinds of confused trying to find the damn climate control haha.

But hey, Ford's trying at least a little bit.
