Yes, i know thats what they say, but road and tracks test of the 08 sti yeilded a 600ft slalom speed of 69.8mph, and a skidpad of .90g. Motortrend's test of the 2005 sti (http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ecs_price.html) yielded 69.7mph through the slalom and .90g on the skidpad for the 05. these numbers are basically identical, so the "weight distrubution" excuse is completely B.S. also, every test of the 08 sti, especially in comparisons to other cars, have all said that the sti's handling is inferior to previous models and/ or its competitors.

the 08 is a good car, but it shouldn't be an STI. Subaru has taken much of its Sti-ness out of it. and it'd be great if they'd redo it.

yes BASICALLY identical....but .1mph says its faster in the slalom...the car is slightly heavier and has the same motor IIRC 293hp...so -7 from the old models....sounds like better weight distribution to me?..i dont see the "epic fail" about it...

p.s. you take online articles and reviews very cereal obviously.

i do agree about this...its a good subaru just not a great looking STI....but its obviously not any worse then the last ones from the numbers you posted.

I dont take online articles that seriously, i was just tryin to get some solid numbers to back up my point. and .1mph really doesnt mean sh*t lets be real here. it is heavier, with less power and that means slower. and for some reason, the whole station wagon thing bugs the sh*t out of me. The sti had a VERY distinct look to it, it was the car's trademark, (u all know, sedan, overly aggressive styling, a Huge spoiler, and an obnoxious yet functional hood scoop. also ride that will F*ck up ur back, and the ability to ride round corners like u are on rails) It is a road version of the rally car, so if they want to make it "softer" for greater market appeal, then call it something else, and make a real sti with limited production. I love subaru, but if i were lookin to buy one of the new rally cars it'd deff be the EVO X gsr.

1. Stop making crappy threads
2. The wagon/hatch/whatever rules, not only is it an sti but it's got more versatility and wight distribution.
