looking for a entry level auto tech or fabrication position

I graduated Wyotech a few months ago and have been having a rough time finding a full time position. When it was summer I had no problem bringing in some decent cash doing side jobs and little things for people but that's kind of dwindled away now that its colder.

In Wyotech I completed there light duty diesel program, their chassis fabrication program and have a Associate in specialexed technology degree in automotive technology. I'm also familiar with Mig and Tig welding mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum.

I'm located in central NJ but am willing to commute up to 45 minutes if need be. For a job in the performance industry, which would be ideal, I would be willing to relocate if needed.

If you can weld why not try and just pick up a job as a welder somewhere? If you can do good aluminum TIG or stainless TIG your lookin at least $15/hr to start, i know its not ideal and most likely wont be in the auto industry but it will certainly pay the bills and put cash in your pocket.

Try going to some race shops and introduce yourself, go to some races, help out in the pits, just let them know your serious about it and theyll get you in eventually, even if your moppin the floor to start 3 times a week.

Man I told you when you bought my car that the car business is a bitch. I hope you find what you are looking for, I ended up having to settle for working at a dealer and got butt raped by the higher ups on a daily basis. Now I'm looking again and having a very hard time.
