Tuning estimates
in WOT, it goes steadily down from 12.5 when it hits 2k or so. Now, I've seen it be steady at 11.2 a few times, but I've also seen it smack into upper 10's. Anyone with a tuned N/A car knows this is bad. Anyway, it was estimated that there's a 10whp loss in that fuel dumpage. 10whp is 10whp. Looks like I need 240 bucks to get the MS.

Well I have a flat torque curve for the firs 5000 rpms and then it starts to dip into the 10's and the torque starts to die.

Wow, 10 is a bit rich for your car. Most turbo GM's like around 11.5 or so. But you're also turbo. I'm hitting 10's n/a. w00t!

also you could lower your fuel pressure if you had an adjustable one

While this is true, it doesn't make it not a GM.

Anyway, we're getting off topic, my point was GM had no hand in it's developement so conventional GM wisdom doesn't apply to it.

GM did, however, have a hand in the ill-conceived L-series sedans that used the Opel v6, detuned to 140hp (from a 208hp underrate) in RWD, automatic only. This is the bombshell that made Saturn lose so much money. However, in development at the time was a v6 LLO sister engine being designed to put out over 240bhp n/a that would be in my design chassis. GM heard about this, and while they were in financial need, bought them outright, and shut down the Spring Hill plant, firing all of it's employees, as well as a restaff of all "Saturn Regime" employees in all dealerships, leading to the demise of the "different" part of Saturn and thusly killing all forward motion that this brand had. GM then axed the S-body and brought out the Ions and Vues and Relays...direct copies of platforms already developed and being developed, hence why they look so alike. Now they're axing their Ions, which were meant to get attention, and bringing out their luxury deals, because they're supposed to be the affordable luxury brand now.

So can we both agree on a hatred for GM's ability to suck all the uniqueness from a marque?
