Penn College Rant!!

Ok, I'm sitting at home right now and I need to vent about a new things. Who all on here goes to PCT? Read this thread if you do.

First of all, I dropped my car off this morning in the chassis lab to get 2 front tires mounted. I dropped it off at 8:30 and they said they would get the car in by 9:15. Fine. Now I tell them that I need to go pick my girlfriend up from work at noon. The kid says "I can't guarantee anything, if we can't get it done by then we'll give you a call." AN ENTIRE CLASS OF AUTOMOTIVE STUDENTS HAS TO MOUNT 2 TIRES, APPARANTLY 3 HOURS ISN'T A SUFFICIENT AMOUNT OF TIME. This is unreal. I've mounted tires before, it takes 10 minutes to mount and balance 2 of them. NOT 3 HOURS! Unreal, they better get it done or I have no faith in this school.

Secondly, I live in 3rd Street right across from the CAL lot. Is it really neccesary to use this place as a race track? I'm not talking about once or twice a day. I'm saying that 90% of the cars that come out of the school and onto 3rd street RIP ON IT, HARD. They do this at all hours of the night too, from 7am til about 3am everyday. If you go here, you've probably seen my 350Z parked in front of my house so you know where I'm talking about. I'm not even saying that just ricers are ripping by my house, I'm saying everything from diesel trucks, to crappy old trucks, to sedans, to big cars, small cars, and everything in between. This is out of control. I don't understand why everyone feels the need to do an 1/8 mile run down the middle of 3rd street right in front of the police station none-the-less.

Thirdly, what is it with the cops around here?? If you are underage and have been drinking at any other school, you are fine to walk home. But at PCT?? NO! God forbid you had 1 beer and are walking 2 blocks home, they WILL find you, and give you an underage. I never got one, some of my friends have but I always was able to run and get away. But that is ridiculous, I understand that is it illegal, but I feel that you should be able to walk home responsibly and not get hassled. I can understand if you are driving drunk, you deserve to get a DUI. If you are walking and making a scene, then get an underage. But if you are walking home, minding your own business, trying to just get some sleep, you should be able to do so, without cops waiting on every corner, stopping everyone walking, and hoping they're underage. Now that I'm 21 it doesn't matter anymore, they can suck it. But it still pisses me off that my friends who aren't yet, can't come out and have a good time because they're afraid of getting their license taken away for 3 months, paying fines, and doing community service. Retarted.

Sorry to everyone that had to read that, I just needed to vent. Who on here goes to PCT? Do you have similar stories? Anything else bother you about this place or Williamsport in general?

Whoever's 21 should come to Cell Block on Friday for Halloween. Should be a good time and not the normal gay Cell Block that I hate. Half price Jager bombs! I'm dressing up as a frat boy, I'll be wearing a goofy ass bright green polo so look for me, haha

1) maybe they were busy and couldnt get to it. maybe they had other stuff to do

3) the law is the law. just because other schools arent as strict doesnt mean its not a law. so if im over the legal limit and im fine to drive home and im not swerving or anything, i shouldnt get a dui?

Just got a call from them. They can't do it AT ALL now because the tires are a different size from factory (245's instead of 235's), even though ALL the rims are the same size. Unreal. I'm bringing it to a real shop now.

I'm saying that driving with ANY alcohol in you in wrong, and should be taken seriously. But walking isn't a problem, walking is being responsible. They're not going to stop drinking, but they can silenty encourage people to walk instead of drive. I know people who have driven drunk because its safer than walking. Which is true if you go to this school. and is unacceptable.

lol, why bump this? I'm glad, though, as this was the first time I saw it and it is quite hilarious and still holds true, haha.

i swear its in the student handbook for every automotive school. I have family who lives near one and its like a racetrack, worse thing is half the cars are pos so it makes it that much more dangerous considering how hard their pushing the cars.
Have there been any accidents there?

I know its a 25mph zone on a curvy road at the school i mentioned and its very easy to roll through there at 35-45mph with out issues so i know if these kids are crashing, rolling over cars etc. they had to over been doing 80+.

WOW jus realized this was from '08 wtf who bumps a random story like this if they have no relevant info to add?
