got carb?

Anybody else here, besides me, who's running carbs? My '85 CRX is running a stock 1.5L EW1 with JDM carb, K&N air filter, NGK plugs and wires and is devac'd. Just wondering if I am the only member running carbs. BTW, I have no plans to swap to FI anytime in the future. As a matter of fact, I am rebuilding another 1.5L EW1 carb'd motor with hopes of producing a bunch more hp.

Wrong, 1986-1989 Honda Accords had carb's. Mine is an 89' and still has a carb.

. Carbs make more wot power than efi and are much easier to tune. The downside is drivability and variance to weather. I doubt your DOT bs. If I'm not mistaken, the last carbed car in the u.s. was the subaru justy. And carbs sound better. Again: carbs ftw!!!

i had a carb on my 2.8L 82 s-10 it never let me down the whole time i had it. ended up donating it though, due to heater core, rust, and all kinds of problems like that

and ofcourse i have carbs on all of my bikes (katana 750, gs550L, yz125)

hey action park- the setup you mentioned... is that a turbo drawing air from the carb, like instead of blowing through the carb? that would mean the carb is sending fuel through the whole turbo and intake pipe right? pics?

Yes, that is correct. The entire mixture goes through the turbo. http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/c...l/DSCF0357.jpg

LOL @ "JDM carb" first time I'v heard that.

And carbs are increadibly easy to tune compared to a EFI system. Main jet, Secondary jet, and a squirter....that it!!! it's cake!!

Smell the exhaust. If it smells about right you're ok.

Yup, JDM, CDM and USDM. Next motor will have a CDM carb and intake. Not quite sure of the differences, maybe different levels of emissions?

Here's a look at a fully decked out US carb on the left, and the stripped down 2.0 version on the right. It's almost as small as the Canadian carb now!
