Who else is picking this game up? I was going to pre-order it for PS3 but when I found out that there is likely to be no downloadable content for the PS3 with tons of DLC for the 360, I reserved it for 360. If you liked/loved Oblivion, you'll really love this. Some videos to get everyone amped up.

Fallout 2 is my favorite game of all time, and honestly, I'm not very excited for the release of 3. Probably going to get it though.

Awesome game. I didn't have to work last night so I started playing around 9pm and I just turned it off. It can't be compared to Oblivion; you can tell the same team made it, but Fallout is it's own monster.

Gah, I might need to start over already. I accidentally pissed off "The Family" by stealing **** when the guard was sleeping and now they attack me (and have insane weapons) and I can't talk to Ian for a quest.

I loooove this game

sneak + VATs (and VATs improvement skills) + hunting rifle = ****ing awesome!

1 solid shot on the head = dead
2-3 shots anywhere else = dead

armored troops, like enclave, are a bit tougher... sure is fun shooting their weapons and breaking them and watching them run though

If thats not an option, i usually lob a few grenades to soften them all up.

grenades are the ****. if you like the hunting rifle, did you get 'ol painless from president dave in the republic of dave yet? its seeriuhs biznis

i personally love ar-31's plasma rifle that you can get from the replicated man quest. super mutants fear me.

I had tried but Vances shiskebob owned me. Until I remembered I had some bottlecap mines. Blew the ****er up and cleared that place out.

no i have not... just looked it up, haven't been that far north... is it worth the journey? I think i need to spend some time and head up there.

xavier - that shishkebob is pretty badass, but i made my own so i could finish that quest with vance.

scape - if you really like the hunting rifle it might be worth it to head up there; ol' painless does about 10 more damage then a fully repaired hunting rifle. the republic itself isn't very entertaining, but you can seriously mess with the presidential election in the republics population of like 8 people if you're crafty enough haha.
