WAWA Gas?

Anyone ever have a problem with wawa gas? Everytime I get gas there my car throws a cel for the o2 sensor. I always get 93, even when it was like $20 a gallon. when I fill up at exxon, I never have any problems. Only wawa gas. anyone have any ideas why?

i don't think it should have anything to do with the gas as long as your getting 93 at both places. gas should be the same its just the additives that are different from brand to brand.

I really don't think that 1 octane difference between Sunoco 93 and 94 matters that much.
Now 100 octane would be different.

i agree, and the price difference isn't worth the 1 oct point either, use an off the shelf additive, xylene, or tolulene

the pump rating is R+M/2, or research octane + motor octane divided by two. Anyway, the 94 has a higher percentage of ethanol (10% up to 15%, compared to the 5-7% 93 octane has), which makes it a more effective, cleaner burning, and more knock resistant fuel. Don't let the "1" point fool you, it really is a better fuel

Oh yea, for 99% of the cars out there, sunoco 94 is a waste. You generally want to use the LOWEST POSSIBLE OCTANE without getting knock (or pinging).

What about that versus the Shell V-power, cause my car seems to really like that stuff.

I think shell v-power is so special because it contains a lot more of the cleaning agents that the gov't requires. It could be ethanol, I really don't know. I use Sunoco since it's right around the corner from me.

Water . . . you can't be serious. That would totally destroy your engine. I fill up 2x a week with Wawa 93 octane. Been using the Wawa brand for four months now with no issues.

I've been using mostly Wawa gas ever since I got my car, no issues at all.

It could just be contaminated fuel. I filled up the Jeep at Wawa in Collegeville last week. 33 gallons of 93 octane. The truck really disliked that fuel. It was acting up and I ended up blowing a power valve in the ol' Holley double pumper

Like I said 116 for me, and I see timing at about 28-30* at WOT. I love WOT! Paying for 116 isnt too bad going by how high gas prices are, I pay $7.00/gallon.

accually, water helps remove carbon deposits from your combustion cambers... but yeah too much would be bad. i think they do water it down, but just enough to do no harm
