Anyone work at a Ford dealer?

I need some stuff done to my truck anybody a service writer, tech, diesel tech... dad owns the dealership? anything..

My truck threw a code for a trans solenoid and my headgaskets are blown im trying to get studs put in under warranty. My powertrain warranty is still active, its just that my truck is slighty not stock and im not trying to get my warranty kicked. Truck is an 05 F250 Diesel.

Well, what isnt stock about it? What aftermarket things are put on it?

If there is nothing done to the transmission (i.e. never removed or has aftermarket gears) then the solenoid issue should be covered under warranty.

If the headgaskets are blown and its still the stock turbo on the truck, that should also be a warranty repair. (Unless it is part of a scheduled maintenance that wasnt performed) Which is another thing, if the car doesnt have a good track record of getting serviced at dealerships/shops (Interval services/oil changes and what not) then itll be more difficult to get a warranty claim.

I can ask the diesel tech tomorrow what he thinks and get back to you. He is a younger guy but knows his ****, havent had any issues with customer vehicles hes worked on since he has started there.

Just let me know whats done to the truck as well so i can run it by him and let you know what will be cheapest/worth your time

Trans is a built Suncoast with a stall haha and it has a modified stock turbo. The truck is chipped with a fuel system etc etc. Im more of trying to find a spot that is relaxed about warranty claims. I know the techs dont give a crap its just more work for them. I just dont want to find a spot with a hardcore anal service manager.

My dealership tends to be more leinent on warranty claims, because they know its work for the techs and they're not getting much lately. However, I will say that the service writers are like women, one day theyre gung ho about everything, next day theyre snapping at people for paying their bills.

Like i said, I will talk to the diesel tech tomorrow and see what he says.

dude doug..is the chillest person in the world...he always did aftermarket **** for me...just because they wanted the work.

Agreed, Doug is the man, however Kevin (the service manager) can be a PMS **** just about any day of the week and will give **** over anything regardless of what Doug says, but that isnt always the case. They will easily do it for the work, it just has to go through the right techs/writers.

Well, looks to me like they are, talked to the diesel tech, he said to bring it in to make sure its your head gaskets and what not. Said he has no problem with doing them as long as your still within your power train warranty mileage wise.
