I got a non broken one!

I used to have a rule for myself, that I would never show off my stuff, I don't like being showy and being showy is against my nature. Having said that, I have to break my rule... once. This freakin thing is gorgeous, and I love it to death already.

For those that read my other thread I had a broken one sent to me a while back, and when I received my refund I got a notice from B&H saying they had the lens in stock... so I jumped on it and bought it.

Here she is... and as I said, this is not to show off.

Oh, and before I forget... UPS sucks. The guy who delivered the lens to me, dropped the box at my feet from like 3 feet up... nothing is wrong with the lens but I definitely gave the guy a WTF kind of look which I dont think he picked up on.

Just a quick test shot...

mmmm Reminds me of the day I brought home my 70-200. Drove home that day with my hand resting on the box. Ah the memory's, funny is if you go out to car shows and use that lens you'll probably get some odd looks. I know I sure do, but hey its such a fine lens why not use it when ever you can.

this is true, I'll use it a lot of places, its a great lens, I'm gonna go into Princeton tomorrow to give a real test run. I just need to sell my 18-200VR so I can finally get my wireless triggers, this lens really put me in the hole... but it seems to be well worth it. My favorite thing about it (other than the pictures) is the build quality. Its so solid its amazing.

Yea its built very good. I had my copy on my bed while I was cleaning out the camera bag and it some how rolled and fell on to the carpeted floor about 2-3 feet or so. Nothing happened but was I shocked at what had happen.

What type of wireless triggers you looking at? I'm starting to hate the CLS system and not sure if I want to drop the coin for pocket wizards or radio poppers.

look into the new cyber sync's from alien bee's well worth the money i've heard. 70 bucks a receiver and 60 a trigger, and they haven't failed from what i've heard, work like a dream every time... thats what someone told me, I'm pretty excited. The CLS system is a pain.
