Moving violation on a bicycle?

I was biking home today and crossed a pedestrian cross walk with a bunch of people who were walking. I had a red light, but there was no traffic, so everyone crossed. I then got pulled over by a State College Police officer who threatened to give me a moving violation for running a red light. Can he do that? Can I really get a ticket against my license when the vehicle I am riding does not even require a license to operate?

Its true, you can be ticketed for moving violations as you would in a car. You can even get a DUI.

In NJ you can not get a DUI on a bicycle. But can be charged with disorderly conduct a criminal charge.
