Best method to tap compressor housing

After i got my turbo mounted and clocked i realized that the housing isnt tapped where i would usually connect a vacuum line for my ewg.

whats the best way to drill and tap these.. i want to avoid weekening the housing and i also dont want any boost leaks...

should i just save the trouble and connect my mbc and ewg to my manifold?

yeah skip the turbo and just find another good boost source.

Tap the hotpipe on your intercooler piping right next where the turbo is.

i thought about doing that too.... i have a golden eagle vacuum block that i wasnt planning on using since i really only need a vac line for the bov and a vac line for the ewg. i need to get some bits and pieces for it too...

is it a good practice to hook the bov and the ewg to the same source on the manifold?

I've read places that you don't want the WG to see vacuum as the diaphragm in them doesn't like it and can lead to premature failure.

Not sure how much water it holds, but now you know.

I'd go on the hotpipe

So did the WGA on my MSP. It was done like many DSMs, off the mani and T'ed to the BPV and WGA.

My stock WGA also died in less than 40k miles, as did most MSP WGAs. The ATP WGA I put on after was hooked up similarly, and had no issues.

I never heard about a WGA seeing vacuum being an issue until recently, read more here -

I always drill and tap my compressor housings for the mbc feed. The main reason I do this is to prevent over spinning of the turbo.

tapping the hotpipe isnt bad... its just the closer to the turbo, the better.. so there is no delay.

i'm not running crazy boost either like most people in this thread so that's why i assume it wasn't so bad.

Boost has nothing to do with it. Oil pressure is RPM dependent.
