do we have the death penalty ? if so they should really pass a law where they take the pricks to the shooting range and use them as target practice for other officers

scumbags..i was reading this a short bit ago. I know it's not an uncommon name, but I went to HS with a Pat McDonald...hope it wasn't him. Not that it makes the loss any more/less important, I'm just saying.

I first read the suspsect was killed at 17th and Dauphin. I didn't read about a 2nd suspect. The one that got killed got the easy way out. The other f'er should rot in jail.

wow RIP. Scums like these need to be get rid of..

Here is the email I got from Temple:

Shortly after 1:30 p.m., City of Philadelphia police
reported two Philadelphia officers were shot. The incident
occurred several blocks northwest of campus, near 17th and
Dauphin Streets. The officers have been taken to Temple
University Hospital for treatment. One suspect was shot and
a second was taken into custody. The City of Philadelphia
Police Department has secured the area.

PA still has Death Penalty. But it's rare that this state uses it. They would rather keep them in prison, feed them three times a day, give them cable tv so we as tax payer can pay for it. $10.00 for a niddle in the arm and it's over!!!

$10? f that. They should use the same needle every time and just inject a needle full of air into their bloodstream. Keep the costs low because they aren't worth the time sterilize the syringe.

I was driving to class and saw at least 25 cruisers, 15 undercovers, and 3 helicopters going the opposite way down broad..

You're right .. **** the 10.00. Air works for me.. Let them suffer.. The officer's family is going to suffer for the rest of their lives because of that animal.
I work in one of the most dangerous cities in the country..and Rockledge Pd is 5 Streets long and they have shotguns and mp5's (assault weapon) in their trunk. Dont get me wrong I'm friends with those guys and they're great guys. I'm glad they have that equipment. Philly needs to give us the right equipment. If these small townships can afford it then so should philly. We're lucky if we have cars that run and road flares in trunk

Is there any way for departments to transfer weapons into the philly PD's?

What about bringing in your own weapons?

My uncle is an officer in Abington, a number of years ago my step-dad's uncle died and he had a massive gun collection (you'd think he was planning something... but he wasn't) he had some kind of automatic or semi auto .22 cal... forget exactly what it was, but he said that if he got a permit of some sort through the PD he could carry that instead of the shotgun.

Dunno if that is still the case... its been a number of years.

There's gotta be an army surplus of certain weapons that could be sent into the PD's such as those around philly... something needs to be done, you guys need to be feared and respected out there

I agree. This aminals are picking us off one by one with their assault weapon. meanwhile I'm walking around with a pea shooter 9mm. Glock. Great gun just not enough.

SOMETHING MUST BE DONE
