From what I remember, that is either a kph speedometer or the bike has some crazy sprocket on it and the speedo is way off. He just keeps accelerating after it pins, if that speedo was accurate he would have been going 250+ by the time he lets off.

if u think that busa is fast.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9M-9jt-lRyc

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=he_j-...eature=related

the reason i posted these two vids is that they are street bikes. just built lowered and stretched.

and the class calls for any stipulation or thought that the bike in question is deemed "unstreetable" you have to go on a 30 min ride... freeway.. stop go traffic.. whatever.. a true 200mph street bike. heheehe

i got to see them last year.. and it was sweet watching 2 of the competitors ride to the track... kinda remeinded me of shep.

and that speedo in the first video is in mph but i'm pretty sure the gearing is throwing it way off...

The 99 busa's had the 220 MPH speed odometer stock and in stock form they topped out at 218 I THINK it was. You could be right though with the sprockets. The front wheel came RIGHT up which makes me believe he had a bigger rear sprocket which a bigger sprocket I know throws off your MPH and odometer (miles). I've riden a Busa before and the wheel stayed nicly planted for me with stock sprockets. New busa is even more insane in stock form from what I hear but limited.

Gearing will throw a bike WAY off. Espically to get a Busa to be able to 200+. My bike is geared and the faster i go the more its off. If Im riding next to a car doing 90mph, my speedo reads around 99mph.

the guys that build and race drag bikes are nuts... on the top fuel bikes they wear steel plates on their chests so if their engine blows it doesn't kill them.

but the OP video is sick!

alright even if the speedo is way off he was still doing somewhere over 200mph. and that is crazy. after he started to slow down for a couple seconds he was finally at about 160 at those speeds you can die so fast. its a rush and a half though
